So this weekend, Sunday to be specific, I finally went down and picked up a new TV. As discussed previously in this post: Need to buy an HDTV.

Upgraded from an old, old 16" VHS TV to this 40" Samsung HDTV: LN40B550. To say the least, it's a huge improvement. While it's hard to say for sure what I think of it so far (having had it less than 24 hours), I am enjoying quite a bit.

Tested it out with a nice "that's so impossible" movie (Live Free or Die Hard). Looked amazing. Then followed it up with playing some Conan on the Xbox360.

Oh and due to lack of room in my bedroom (at least without a bit of re-organizing) I had to place the tv on my desk where my computer monitor was. As a result, I decided to just hook my computer right up to the TV...which I hadn't really planned on doing originally. A great surprise though because I gotta say...a 40" computer monitor aint too shabby. Now I just need to replace my old keyboard and mouse with wireless so I can sit back on my bed and surf the web. Mwhahahaha. Yes...I'm a bit giddy right now.

Now I just need to find some time to tune it up a bit and get the picture perfect...though the default seemed pretty good to me.

Haha lazy at it's finest. Hats off to you!
Nice! I just play on a 19" Acoustic Solutions TV. It's HD, but it aint great. I envy you man xD
That's awesome. Once you start playing PC games on it, you'll never want to go back to a monitor...
@onemorehour I know...but sadly it'll only be in my bedroom temporarily. I plan to move it into my living room in September when one of my current apt-mates moves out and take his TV (currently in our living room).
grats man! You'll never look back.
